COVID-19 Update – Permitted Worker Permits Required for Training

To Our Customers,

Melbourne’s lockdown has been extended by two more weeks, with some restrictions being further tightened.

Permitted Worker Permits

Having examined the new rules, we have determined that we can conduct the following course types only for holders of permitted worker permits:

  • High Risk Work Licence Courses (I.e. DG, LF and WP)
  • Construction Induction Courses (I.e. White Card)
  • First aid courses provided that the first aid training is part of a covid response
  • Courses associated with High Risk Work as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017, which includes courses pertaining to:
    • Confined spaces
    • Plant operation
    • Prevention of falls
    • Working near electrical installations
    • Working on or adjacent to a roadway

Declaration

We will be emailing everyone who already has a booking during the lockdown, as well as anyone who makes a new booking, requesting that they complete a declaration stating that:

  • The attendees will have a permitted worker permit;
  • That the training is necessary so as to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements; and
  • In the case of first aid training, that the training is necessary as part of a covid response

Additional Covid Measures

We have appointed a full-time Covid Marshall to ensure compliance with our covid rules. If attending WAM Training, please don’t forget:

  • We’ll check your temperature upon arrival
  • Wear your mask
  • Check in using our QR code
  • Maintain your distance from others
  • Stay home if you’re not feeling 100%
