Confined Space Entry Course
Cost:

  • The cost for WAM Training to run a Confined Space Entry Course on your site is $500 (GST Exempt) per person, with a minimum charge of 10 attendees and a maximum of 12 attendees allowed
  • Travel will be charged at $1.80 (Plus GST) per km each way and accommodation at $220 (plus GST) per night for courses conducted greater than 100km from Melbourne, 3000.

You will be required to provide the following resources:

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)
  • Access to amenities including tea, coffee, water, heating, cooling and bathroom for all participants
  • A confined space compliant with AS 2865 Confined spaces
  • A copy of the procedure, risk assessment and entry permit applicable to the confined space to be used (required to be emailed to info@wamtraining.com.au prior to course commencement
  • The confined space entry equipment required for entry as referenced by the relevant procedure and risk assessment, compliant with AS 2865 Confined spaces and AS 1891 Industrial fall-arrest systems and devices

Cost:

  • Two separate areas which require the use of a harness to access
  • A copy of the procedures and any permits applicable to the areas to be used (required to be emailed to info@wamtraining.com.au prior to course commencement
  • The fall prevention equipment required for accessed as referenced by the relevant procedure, compliant with AS 1891 Industrial fall-arrest systems and devices

EWPA Yellow Card Course
Cost:

  • The cost for WAM Training to run an EWPA Yellow Card Course for 1 EWP type on your site is $220 (GST Exempt) per person, with a minimum charge of 8 attendees and a maximum of 10 attendees allowed
  • The cost for WAM Training to run an EWPA Yellow Card Course for 2-3 EWP types on your site is $330 (GST Exempt) per person, with a minimum charge of 6 attendees and a maximum of 8 attendees allowed
  • Travel will be charged at $1.80 (Plus GST) per km each way and accommodation at $220 (plus GST) per night for courses conducted greater than 100km from Melbourne, 3000.

EWP Types:

The following EWP types may be covered:

  • VL: Vertical Lift
  • SL: Scissor Lift
  • BL: Under 11m Self-Propelled Boom Lift
  • TL: Under 11m Trailer-Mounted Boom Lift
  • TM: Under 11m Truck-Mounted Boom Lift

  • One of each EWP type required to be covered in the course, compliant with AS 2550.10 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use – Elevating work platforms, with logbooks and service history readily available
  • If BL, TL or TM EWP types are to be covered, two harnesses compliant with AS 1891 Industrial fall-arrest systems and devices must be provided

Forklift Licence Course
Cost:

  • The cost for WAM Training to run a Forklift Licence Course on your site is $600 (GST Exempt) per person, with a minimum charge of 6 attendees and a maximum of 6 attendees allowed
  • An additional application fee of $65 per participant is payable at Australia Post after successful completion of the course
  • Travel will be charged at $1.80 (Plus GST) per km each way and accommodation at $220 (plus GST) per night for courses conducted greater than 100km from Melbourne, 3000.

You will be required to provide the following resources:

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)
  • Access to amenities including tea, coffee, water, heating, cooling and bathroom for all participants
  • A forklift compliant with AS 2359.1 Powered industrial trucks – General requirements, with logbook and service history readily available
  • Pallet racking with shelves extending to at least 75% of the forklift lift-height capability
  • Three loads, each weighing a minimum of 500kg

Dogging Licence Course
Cost:

  • The cost for WAM Training to run a Dogging Licence Course on your site is $1500 (GST Exempt) per person, with a minimum charge of 8 attendees and a maximum of 9 attendees allowed
  • An additional application fee of $65 per participant is payable at Australia Post after successful completion of the course
  • Travel will be charged at $1.80 (Plus GST) per km each way and accommodation at $220 (plus GST) per night for courses conducted greater than 100km from Melbourne, 3000.

Onsite Course Resources:

You will be required to provide the following resources:

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)
  • Access to amenities including tea, coffee, water, heating, cooling and bathroom for all participants
  • A licensed crane operator and minimum 10t slewing mobile crane compliant with AS 2550.5 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use – Mobile cranes, with logbook and service history readily available, for the second, third and fourth days of the course
  • An outdoor area at least 20m x 20m with appropriate demarcation to ensure that no unauthorised personnel may enter

In addition to the above, five loads which meet the following requirements will need to be provided:

  • A stillage of loose pipes
  • A steel plate with the minimum dimensions 25mm x 1.5m x 2.0m.
  • A square load with four defined lifting points and a minimum weight of 2t
  • A round load at least 5m in length and a minimum weight of 500kg
  • An unevenly balanced load with a minimum weight of 2t

A range of lifting equipment must be used, including:

  • Chain slings (2-leg and 4-leg)
  • Flexible steel wire rope slings
  • Synthetic slings
  • Shackles

This range of lifting equipment is required to be provided by the crane supplier.

First Aid Course
Cost:

  • The cost for WAM Training to run a First Aid Course on your site is $100 (GST Exempt) per person, with a minimum charge of 15 attendees and a maximum of 15 attendees allowed
  • Travel will be charged at $1.80 (Plus GST) per km each way and accommodation at $220 (plus GST) per night for courses conducted greater than 100km from Melbourne, 3000.

You will be required to provide the following resources:

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)
  • An area of at least 5m x 5m without tables, in which scenarios involving mannequins and CPR can occur (this may be in the same room or in a separate area, provided the floor is free of obstructions
  • Access to amenities including tea, coffee, water, heating, cooling and bathroom for all participants

  • We are able to conduct a maximum of two CPR Courses on your site per day

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)
  • An area of at least 5m x 5m without tables, in which scenarios involving mannequins and CPR can occur (this may be in the same room or in a separate area, provided the floor is free of obstructions

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)

  • An overhead crane compliant with AS 2550.3 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use – Bridge, gantry, portal (including container cranes), jib and monorail cranes, with logbook and service history readily available
  • A copy of the procedure applicable to the use of the overhead crane (required to be emailed to info@wamtraining.com.au prior to course commencement
  • Two loads which can be moved by the crane during practical training and assessment, with suitably compliant and tagged lifting equipment

Credit Transfer Requirements:

Applicants who wish to enrol into this course must bring documentation with them that meets one of the following bullet points:

  • An original (or certified copy of) a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID003 Provide first aid issued within the last 12 months; or
  • An original (or certified copy of) a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID003 Provide first aid issued within the last 3 years and an original (or certified copy of) a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation issued within the last 12 months

Applicants who are unable to meet this requirement will need to enrol to complete a First Aid Course within 30 days of the Electrical Spotter Course.

  • An outdoor area at least 10m x 30m with appropriate demarcation to ensure that no unauthorised personnel may enter (note that this area needs to be large enough to set up a series of traffic control devices and to then drive a car through the area and perform a u-turn at each end

Non-Slewing Crane Licence Course

  • The cost for WAM Training to run a Non-Slewing Crane Licence Course on your site is $2000 (GST Exempt) per person, with a minimum charge of 6 attendees and a maximum of 6 attendees allowed
  • Onsite courses will be conducted over 4 days, with all 6 staff members being required to attend the first two days, and then only 3 staff members being required to attend on days three and four
  • An additional application fee of $65 per participant is payable at Australia Post after successful completion of the course
  • Travel will be charged at $1.80 (Plus GST) per km each way and accommodation at $220 (plus GST) per night for courses conducted greater than 100km from Melbourne, 3000.

You will be required to provide the following resources:

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)
  • Access to amenities including tea, coffee, water, heating, cooling and bathroom for all participants
  • A Franna compliant with AS 2550.5 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use – Mobile cranes or a Telehandler with a capacity greater than 3t compliant with AS 2550.19 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use – Telescopic handlers, with logbook and service history readily available
  • A licensed dogger on the second and third days of the course
  • An outdoor area at least 20m x 20m with appropriate demarcation to ensure that no unauthorised personnel may enter

In addition to the above, four loads which meet the following requirements will need to be provided:

  • One load not exceeding 25% of the crane capacity
  • One load between 20% and 30% of the crane capacity
  • One load between 30% and 40% of the crane capacity
  • One load which is at least 40% of the crane capacity

A range of suitably compliant and tagged lifting equipment must also be available

You will be required to provide the following resources:

    • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)
    • Access to amenities including tea, coffee, water, heating, cooling and bathroom for all participants
    • A set of trench shields compliant with AS 4744 Steel shoring and trench lining equipment, of adequate size to allow safe entry and exit to and from the trench
    • A safe means of access and egress to and from the trench such as a secured access platform or ladder
    • A means of performing rescue if the need arises, compliant with AS 1891 Industrial fall-arrest systems and devices
    • A operator (with proof of competency) and an excavator with a capacity suitable for lifting the shields, compliant with Australian Standards, with logbook and service history readily available
    • A suitably compliant and tagged 4-leg chain sling with a capacity suitable for lifting the shields
    • An outdoor area at least 12m x 12m with appropriate demarcation to ensure that no unauthorised personnel may enter
    • A copy of the procedure and permits applicable to trenching operations (required to be emailed to info@wamtraining.com.au prior to course commencement
    • Copies of all underground asset plans as acquired from Dial Before You Dig (required to be emailed to info@wamtraining.com.au a minimum of 3 days prior to course commencement, but acquired no earlier than 14 days prior to course commencement
    • Evidence of the submission of a Notice of Intention to Perform Construction Excavation Work form to WorkSafe Victoria (such as cc’ing info@wamtraining.com.au on the submission email) a minimum of 3 days prior to course commencement

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)
  • Access to amenities including tea, coffee, water, heating, cooling and bathroom for all participants
  • A Telehandler with a capacity no greater than 3t compliant with AS 2550.19 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use – Telescopic handlers, with logbook and service history readily available
  • A load chart for each attachment to be used
  • Two loads not exceeding 50% of the telehandler capacity
  • An outdoor area at least 20m x 20m with appropriate demarcation to ensure that no unauthorised personnel may enter

A range of suitably compliant and tagged lifting equipment must also be available if a jib is to be used

You will be required to provide the following resources:

  • A room with adequate seating and table-space for each participant in which the Trainer can deliver a presentation (using a projector or television)

  • An outdoor area at least 3m x 4m (comprised of at least 4m2 of soil, grass or bark in which a series of AVDD’s can be earthed) with appropriate demarcation to ensure that no unauthorised personnel may enter

  • A vehicle loading crane with a capacity of less than 10 metre-tonnes, compliant with AS 2550.11 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use – Vehicle-loading cranes, with logbook and service history readily available
  • Two loads which can be moved by the crane during practical training and assessment, with suitably compliant and tagged lifting equipment
  • An outdoor area of sufficient size to set up the crane and shift loads from one side of the truck to the other, with appropriate demarcation to ensure that no unauthorised personnel may enter
