No, this course doesn’t include the use of fire extinguishers, fire reels or fire blankets. If your team needs to know how to use that equipment, we recommend checking out our Fire Warden & Firefighting Equipment Course.
Language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills requirements
Trainees must be able to speak English clearly, understand and complete worksite documentation and explain and describe issues relating to facility-type emergencies.
Our expert Trainer will guide and support your team through the learning process. However, please note that the formal assessments are closed-book.
To give you an idea of the language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills required, here are five example questions similar in complexity to what you’ll encounter during the course:

- Identify two methods a Chief Warden may use to communicate with the ECO group during an emergency
- Name three common hazards that may require evacuation of a facility
- What precautions should be taken when evacuating a building using stairs?
