COVID-19 Update – Bring Your Face Masks

By now, you will have undoubtedly been made aware of the requirement for everyone leaving their home in Greater Melbourne and Mitchell Shire to wear a face mask (see here).

Face Masks

I wanted to reach out to you personally to let you know that we’ve added the requirement to wear face masks to our current suite of controls to help manage the risks associated with COVID-19.

As per government instructions, all trainees are to arrive at WAM Training with their face mask on. If you require a replacement for any reason throughout your training, we have spare face masks available.

FYI – Here’s how not to put on a mask…

Temperature Checking

In addition to wearing face masks, all personnel who attend our Laverton North Training Facility will have their temperature checked upon arrival, with individuals being required to depart immediately if they are found to have an elevated temperature.

Monitoring of COVID-19 symptoms

We’re monitoring for all signs of COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, coughing and sore throat. If an individual presents for training with COVID-19 symptoms, we’ll be asking them to depart our facility. We understand that this may seem a little ‘over the top’ – but we’re putting your safety and ours first.

A full overview of our management of COVID-19 (including many controls such as social distancing requirements, face masks, COVID-19 declarations, cleaning, staff infection-control training, etc.) can be viewed here.

Our Commitment to you

WAM Training is currently implementing all advice provided by our Federal and State Governments and will continue to provide training and assessment services throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic until directed not to.

We will continue to reinvent the way we conduct business and look after our trainees to ensure highest possible safety and hygiene standards are achieved – face masks and all.

We’re training every day with strict COVID-19 controls in place and our team are being vigilant regarding implementation. Check out www.wamtraining.com.au to see our scheduled courses, or enquire via info@wamtraining.com.au or by calling 1800 143 343.
