WAM Training welcomes the Murray Mallee Training Company as a new training partner. With several hundred apprentices requiring a range of training products, WAM Training has been chosen as MMTC's preferred supplier throughout Victoria.
MMTC is a highly successful Group Training Company and plays a vital role in servicing industry and community needs through its wide range of employment and training services and programs. It has seven fixed or outreached office locations with the administrative centre based in Swan Hill.
The core operation is the employment and monitoring of Australian apprentices.
Through its Group Training Operations, MMTC works with employers and jobseekers to identify and fill suitable apprenticeship opportunities.
Under this system the apprentices are employed by MMTC Ltd and on-hired to suitable host employers who are able to provide high-quality work experience and training.
As the employer, MMTC Ltd administers payroll, group certificates, superannuation, workcover and other regulatory requirements. Host employers are charged a flat rate per hour during their hosting period.
MMTC Ltd field officers visit the workplace regularly in order to identify and resolve any issues affecting the success of the apprentices helping to ensure high rates of retention and the subsequent achievement of nationally recognised qualifications.
MMTC also has value-added to its service provision through the adoption of a broad range of labour and training market related activities.
