Vehicle Loading Crane Licence
Licence Types
There are two types of Training / Licencing required to operate Vehicle Loading Cranes. These are:
- Usage of Over 10 Metre Tonnes Vehicle Loading Cranes, requires operators to obtain the WorkSafe licence Class CV – Vehicle Loading Crane Operation (≥10 Metre Tonnes)
- Usage of Under 10 Metre Tonnes Vehicle Loading Cranes does not require a WorkSafe licence to operate. However, In line with employer obligations under section 21 of the OH&S Act, employers have a legal responsibility to provide instruction and training on equipment their employees are required to use. Proof of training covers elements of an employer’s duty of care under the OH&S Act. A 1 Day course is offered to satisfy this requirement. In the training we cover the equipment’s operating instruction, Safe Work Method Statements and Hazard Identification and Hazard Control. Participants are required to demonstrate competence in both theory and practical aspects of Vehicle Loading Crane operation.
