We are always looking for products to use in training that are practical and safe. When we came across this great invention we just had to get one for our dogging and crane lifting courses.
The Rough Terrain Pallet Lifting Cage has been designed to lift full pallets of bricks, cargo or any other material by crane or forklift on even or uneven surfaces safely and efficiently.
The cage has four pallet pick-up stirrups on the bottom on two sides. The stirrups drop automatically to form a larger opening for the lifting pins to slide through. The lifting pins support the pallet and load.
When the cage is raised the stirrups open fully. On an uneven surface the stirrups self-adjust. The lifting pins can then be removed.
The cage is of sound material and excellent construction which conforms to Australian Safety Standard specifications. Lifting lugs have been designed so that the cage is more controllable. The lugs are usually on the outside of the cage. The angle of the lifting chains is reduced with this new design. The lugs are positioned on the inside of the cage. This will reduce the pushing required to position the cage when fully loaded.
The cage will save time and will cause less strain on the rigger/dogman.
